DISCOVERING

LISBON

through art and stories

In 2024, we found ourselves in Lisbon, a city that vibrates
through its labyrinth of narrow streets and hidden alleys. With
Octavio, our trusted guide, who knows these streets like the
back of his hand, we set out on a quiet mission. Supported by
Culture Moves Europe and the Goethe-Institut our eyes
weren’t looking for the usual landmarks, instead, we sought the
overlooked corners, the places that hold meaning for those
who live here.

As we moved through the city, we met people who shared
stories—stories born in Lisbon.

The result lies in here. We want to share this experience
with you and guide you through places, people and
memories that shaped Lisbons culture. Let these tales be
your guide through a city that is as much about its unseen
moments as it is about what’s on the surface.

We hope you enjoy it,
